Some very pretty sets there, but I still like a nice wooden Staunton set.

A great way to display a pretty intense board game. I have been fortunate enough to buy several 'priceless' chess sets and the pieces alone are an inspiration, providing that extra bit of strategy and final tactical move that allows me to say, "check mate'. Keep sharing and I know I will continue to read. It is reassuring to know that there are other people out there that can and do appreciate board games and some handmade too (creativity at its finest hour). We used to live a mile from the ocean and every afternoon, not out of bordom, but out of want, we got together and played round robin chess, three boards going at once. Each of us has moved away now, but the memories last a lifetime and the comradery treasured, and it all began with a game of chess.
