T&B completly ruins value of fields, which are the best element of carcassone.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14856978.post-1157716260045888172006-09-08T04:51:00.000-07:002006-09-08T04:51:00.000-07:00Great post. Do you see these as improvements in terms of balance or are they only there to make the scoring easier?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14856978.post-1145039371905176392006-04-14T11:29:00.000-07:002006-04-14T11:29:00.000-07:00You (and Chris Farrell) seem to assume that each e...You (and Chris Farrell) seem to assume that each expansion requires all the previous expansions. But you could easily just pick one expansion to add to the base game. In theory you could even just choose a few expansions and leave out the basic tiles altogether!Doug Orleanshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06128045217120287761noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14856978.post-1144995119164507802006-04-13T23:11:00.000-07:002006-04-13T23:11:00.000-07:00I'm actually pretty curious how H&G stacks up too....I'm actually pretty curious how H&G stacks up too. It was my favorite game too, until The City came out. I'm planning to plot out some of these same numbers for the other games, but that's in part five of the series, which will probably post in May or June(!).

I somewhat agree with your thoughts on the extra tiles making the game too long. I think I may mention that in one of the next couple of parts. I don't think it's over the top with I&C plus T&B, but it's right at my limit.Shannon Appelclinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10454937577535623129noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14856978.post-1144962763729322932006-04-13T14:12:00.000-07:002006-04-13T14:12:00.000-07:00When discussing new tiles, you said: "city-city-ro...When discussing new tiles, you said: "city-city-road-field (#8)".
